Moroccan Billionaire Denies Rumors of Sheffield Wednesday FC Acquisition

Anas Sefrioui, president of the real estate group Addoha, has formally denied the information circulating about a possible acquisition of the British football club Sheffield Wednesday.
"Mr. Anas Sefrioui formally denies the rumors relayed by certain media outlets regarding an alleged acquisition of the Sheffield Wednesday football club," states a source close to the Moroccan billionaire.
"No discussion, negotiation, or investment intention has been initiated by Mr. Sefrioui, directly or indirectly, in this club or in any other football club," it is further stated. The Moroccan businessman’s entourage expressed regret regarding the spread of this information, deemed "inaccurate" and without "any foundation."
The club at the center of these rumors, Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, is a historic institution in English football. Founded in 1867 and based in Sheffield, it is among the oldest professional clubs in the world.
