Moroccan Tycoons Dominate Forbes’ Arab Billionaires List: Banking, Real Estate, and Energy Empires Soar

Three Moroccan businessmen are on the list of Arab billionaires, according to a ranking by the American magazine Forbes for the year 2025. Their fortunes range between $1.5 and $1.6 billion.
With a net worth of $1.6 billion, Othman Benjelloun, 92 years old, is ranked 25th on the list. The Moroccan billionaire is the CEO of the holding company FinanceCom, owner of Bank of Africa, present in more than 20 African countries, and holding shares in Orange Maroc. He also owns the Mohammed VI Tower in Rabat, the second tallest in Africa.
The 26th place is occupied by Anas Sefrioui, 67 years old, with a fortune of $1.6 billion. The founder of the Addoha group, the leader in social housing projects in Morocco, invests in the construction (cement plant) and real estate (luxury housing) sectors. He has also built golf courses and made investments in more than five African countries.
Aziz Akhannouch, 64 years old, the current Prime Minister of Morocco and owner of the Akwa group, is ranked 27th with a fortune of $1.5 billion. His investments are concentrated in the distribution of fuels and the oil, gas and chemical sectors, but also in strategic projects such as seawater desalination.
