Brighton in Talks with Moroccan Star Ounahi for Premier League Move

Greek club Panathinaikos intends to keep Azzedine Ounahi for an additional season, but they would not be able to pay the 11.5 million euros purchase option. An English club sees the opportunity to acquire the services of the Moroccan international.
After following him for a long time, Brighton is showing interest in Azzedine Ounahi. The English club is currently in discussions with the Moroccan international, Footmercato learns. Will the revelation of the 2022 World Cup join Falmer Stadium? Excited by the idea of playing in the Premier League next season, the Atlas Lion "already has a verbal agreement with the English club on the outlines of a contract," reveals the same source. Nothing is decisive yet, as Ounahi still belongs to OM.
This is not the first time Brighton has shown interest in the Moroccan player. In the aftermath of the 2022 World Cup, where Morocco reached the semi-finals for the first time in its history, the English club had expressed interest in Ounahi, but it didn’t go far.
The interest in the Moroccan international is explained by his good performances. With Panathinaikos, he has scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists in 37 matches. Enough to make people forget his misadventure at Olympique de Marseille.
