Moroccan Star Ounahi Snubs Russian Move, Eyes La Liga Amid Transfer Tug-of-War

Olympique de Marseille (OM) would have reached an agreement with Spartak Moscow for the transfer of Azzedine Ounahi. But the Moroccan midfielder, who is attracting interest from several European and Saudi clubs, does not seem enthusiastic about this option.
Ounahi does not seem very enthusiastic about the idea of joining the Moscow club. The Moroccan international has indeed exchanged with the management of Spartak Moscow, but has not shown particular interest in the Russian championship, according to sources close to the player, specifying that the Atlas Lion is studying more interesting offers coming from Premier League clubs, La Liga, the Turkish Süper Lig and the Saudi championship.
On his side, Panathinaikos, the club where the midfielder was loaned last season, wishes to definitively secure his services. But the 25-year-old player has a preference for the Spanish championship which, in terms of visibility and level of competition, seems to best match his sporting aspirations. The Moroccan wants to join a competitive championship to raise his level of play before the 2025 CAN which will take place in Morocco, from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
