Migrants Found Hidden in Scrap Metal Truck Bound for Spain

5 Moroccans, including a minor, were arrested in Melilla. The young people were hiding at the risk of their lives, in a truck that was about to board for the peninsula.

The incident dates back to June 23 when the civil guard elements in charge of scanning the truck detected the presence of the illegal migrants inside the vehicle, loaded with 8 tons of "scrap metal" heading for the Iberian peninsula.

The weight and instability of the scrap metal inside the truck represented a real danger for these migrants. To remove them, it was necessary to call on the civil protection and its logistics. One of them was even found unconscious.
