Moroccan Police Seize 450 kg of Cannabis Hidden in Truck at Tanger Med Port

A cargo of 450 kilograms of cannabis resin was seized by the elements of the national security and customs operating at the Tanger Med port. This large quantity of drugs was on board an internationally registered Moroccan cargo truck.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicated in a press release that the truck was supposed to transport agricultural products to Spain. But it was used as a hiding place for the drugs, which were hidden in specially designed compartments inside the truck’s trailer. In addition to the seizure carried out by the police and customs officers, the 29-year-old Moroccan truck driver was arrested.
The seized drugs were handed over to the customs administration, the DGSN specifies, which stresses that the suspect was taken into custody, pending the conclusions of the investigation opened to determine the possible national and international ramifications of this criminal network.
