Moroccan Authorities Seize 745kg of Cannabis at Tanger Med Port Bound for Europe

The police and customs services operating at the Tanger Med port carried out two operations on Saturday that resulted in the seizure of 745kg of cannabis resin on board a truck and a utility vehicle for international transport registered in Morocco.
Thus, the utility vehicle was about to board for France with 650kg of drugs hidden in a cargo of sugar, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). As for the international freight truck, it was transporting, hidden in a cargo of agricultural products, 95kg of cannabis.
In addition to this seizure, the police arrested the two Moroccan drivers, aged 33 and 40 respectively. They were taken into custody for the investigation opened to identify all the people involved in this case. It will also be a matter of determining the possible national and international ramifications of this criminal activity, the DGSN specifies.
