Spanish Trucker Arrested at Moroccan Port with 850 kg of Cannabis Resin

An international transport truck with foreign license plates was intercepted at the Tanger Med port by elements of the National Security and Customs. On board, 850 kg of cannabis resin were found.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) is pleased to have thwarted this attempt of international drug trafficking. It indicates that the drugs were found during the control and search operations to which the truck was subjected. The drugs were carefully hidden in specially designed cavities in the bodywork of the trailer of the vehicle.
The driver, a 48-year-old Spanish national, was arrested and taken into custody for investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office in order to uncover the rest of the possible national and international ramifications of this criminal activity, the DGSN points out.
