Cocaine Bust at Tanger-Med Port: Spanish Truck Driver Arrested in International Drug Sting

A 54-year-old man was arrested by the elements of the National Security and Customs operating at the Tanger-Med Port. He would be involved in a criminal network active in the international drug and psychotropic trafficking.
In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that the suspect, who came from Spain, was apprehended on his arrival at the port of Tanger Med. It was the searches carried out inside the cabin of his Spanish-registered vehicle that led to the seizure of 2 kilograms and 85 grams of cocaine, in addition to a sum of money in euros that could come from this criminal activity.
Pending the conclusions of the investigation which will determine the possible local and international ramifications of this drug trafficking, the suspect has been taken into custody.
