Massive Drug Bust: Over 1 Ton of Cannabis Seized at Kénitra Toll Booth

Elements of the judicial police department of Kénitra thwarted an attempt to internationally traffic one ton and 275 kg of cannabis resin.
In addition to the seizure of this large quantity of drugs, the police arrested two individuals, including a 17-year-old minor, for their alleged links to a criminal network active in the international trafficking of drugs and psychotropics. They were apprehended at the Kénitra toll booth.
The traffickers were on board a utility vehicle in which 39 bales of cannabis resin weighing a total of one ton and 275 kg were discovered, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in a press release.
The major suspect was taken into custody, while the minor was placed under judicial supervision pending the investigation to determine all the people involved in this international drug trafficking criminal network, the statement concludes.
