Moroccan Police Bust International Drug Ring, Seize Over 1 Ton of Cannabis

The police arrested four individuals in Errachidia on Thursday for their alleged links to a criminal network involved in international drug trafficking.
The suspects, aged 25 to 52, were arrested during an operation carried out in the rural commune of "Kadoussa" about 40 km from the city of Errachidia, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The defendants were in possession of 37 packages of cannabis, weighing 1048 kilograms, intended for the "potential clients of this international criminal activity," the DGSN writes.
The accused were taken into custody for the purposes of the investigation. Conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, it continues in order to determine the potential ramifications of this network and any accomplices involved in this activity at the local and international levels, the same source specifies.
