Massive Cocaine Bust: Over 1.3 Tons Seized from Brazilian Cruise Ship in Moroccan Port

Elements of the police services at the Tanger Med port thwarted an attempt at international drug trafficking of one ton and 355 kg of cocaine from Brazil.
In a statement, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) welcomed the foiling of this attempt at international drug trafficking.
On Monday morning, its services were alerted by the suspicious sealing method of a container on board a cruise ship that had left Brazil, the note said, adding that the searches carried out by the canine brigade led to the discovery of a cargo of drugs, carefully packaged and hidden in 40 suitcases.
An investigation has been opened "with a view to identifying all the persons linked to this criminal network involved in the attempted trafficking of cocaine cargoes, as well as its regional and international ramifications," the statement concluded.
