Major Drug Bust in Morocco: Police Seize 11kg of Cocaine and Heroin, Arrest Two Suspects

The judicial police brigade in the Nador security district, in close coordination with the services of the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), arrested on Tuesday two individuals for alleged links with a criminal network involved in international drug trafficking.
The operation, carried out in the Beni Chiker region, led to the seizure of 6 kilograms (kg) of cocaine and 5 kg of heroin on board a utility vehicle, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), specifying that a second accomplice suspected of being the transporter of the seized drugs was apprehended in the Rass Wark region.
The intelligence allowed the identification of two houses in Farkhana belonging to the fugitive mastermind of the gang abroad. The searches carried out led to the seizure of two cars and a sum of money suspected of coming from this criminal activity, it is stated.
The suspects were taken into custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office to determine the possible local and international ramifications of this criminal activity, according to the press release.
