Moroccan Police Seize 560 kg of Cannabis, Arrest Spanish Truck Driver in International Drug Bust

The judicial police of Nador announced on Thursday the seizure of 560 kg of cannabis and the arrest of a Spanish national who would be involved in an international drug and psychotropic trafficking network.
The arrest of the individual, a 48-year-old truck driver, took place during a joint control operation carried out by the national security elements at the port of Beni Ansar, and their counterparts from the Nador security district.
This operation allowed the search of a truck, in which nearly 560 kg of cannabis were discovered, carefully hidden in specially arranged cavities in the trailer.
The suspect was placed in custody for the purposes of the judicial investigation, conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to determine any ramifications with international drug trafficking networks and to arrest all accomplices involved in these criminal acts.
