Spanish Boat Driver Arrested for Smuggling Undocumented Moroccans into Ceuta

The Civil Guard of Ceuta has arrested a person for attempting to illegally bring in three undocumented Moroccan immigrants.
The events took place on Wednesday, when elements of the maritime Civil Guard of the Ceuta command spotted in the north bay, a 5.5-meter Yamaha pleasure boat, with four people on board, heading towards the peninsula.
Actions were taken to identify the occupants and proceed with their arrest. They are the driver of the boat, a Spaniard, and three undocumented Moroccans.
The boat driver will be made available to the investigating court for the alleged crime against the rights of foreign citizens.
As for the immigrants, they will be taken in by the Red Cross and will be subject to the necessary procedures, before being transferred to the disposal of the Ceuta police, in accordance with the provisions in force on illegal immigration.
