Spain to Boost Morocco’s Border Patrol with $7.8 Million Vehicle Deal

Spain is working to acquire 170 four-wheel drive vehicles that will be allocated to Morocco to fight against illegal immigration.
The value of these off-road vehicles that will be allocated to Morocco is estimated at around 7,150,000 euros, reports the local press. Training will also be provided on vehicle maintenance. This action is part of the project to support the integrated management of borders and migrations in Morocco.
There is cooperation between Spain and Morocco to try to limit illegal immigration. The Moroccan authorities are striving to strengthen controls at the entrances to the Spanish enclaves of Melilla and Ceuta. For their part, the Spanish authorities can return adult Moroccan migrants to their country, under an agreement with Rabat.
