Manhunt Underway After Convicted Killers Escape Marrakech Psychiatric Hospital

The Ibn Nafis psychiatric hospital in Marrakech recorded on Monday the escape of five patients, including three common law inmates convicted of premeditated murder.
The escape seems to have been well planned by these patients. The three convicted of voluntary homicide, theft, rape or counterfeiting who are among the escapees were in the "Azzouhour" wing of the asylum, which is dedicated to them. A few hours after their escape, the authorities were able to arrest two of them in Marrakech, in Tinghir and Youssoufia. The police are actively searching for the other two, reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
Within the Ibn Nafis psychiatric hospital in Marrakech, there are about thirty common law inmates who have been convicted of murder and other serious crimes. According to a source within the hospital, the staff live in difficult working conditions and the monitoring of patients leaves something to be desired.
