Marrakech Man Fatally Stabs Wife in Dispute Over Eid al-Adha Sheep Purchase

A man killed his wife with a knife at their home on Monday after a dispute over the purchase of the Eid al-Adha sheep broke out within the couple. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of the fleeing spouse.
The incident took place on Monday, June 27 in the Assoufid douar near Marrakech. It all started with the disappearance of a sum of money. The husband, a man recently released from prison after serving a sentence related to drug trafficking, asked his wife to return the missing money. She categorically refused. She told him that the money would be used to buy the sheep for Eid al-Adha. A violent argument broke out between the couple. The husband stabbed her fatally in the abdomen in the presence of their three children, the eldest of whom is five years old, reports the daily Assabah. She collapsed and died on the spot.
After committing this murder, the family man fled. Immediately afterwards, the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie were called. Upon their arrival, they examined the crime scene. A warrant has been issued for the suspect’s arrest.
