11 residents of the psychiatric hospital under the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center in Casablanca escaped during the night of Friday, August 30.
According to a statement from the hospital, relayed by Akhbarona, a large search device was immediately mobilized to find the patients, presumed to be dangerous, without results.
Specifying that it was a premeditated action, the statement adds that the 11 residents managed to escape in a spectacular way, by digging holes in the walls of their cells.
A similar action had occurred in 2012 when 13 residents had taken advantage of the Eid al-Fitr period to chain the medical staff and seize the keys, before fleeing.
