Hospital Worker Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assaults on Psychiatric Patients in Fez

An individual in charge of hygiene at the Fez regional psychiatric hospital was arrested last Monday by the police. He would have taken advantage of the condition of the women patients of the hospital, mentally ill and undergoing treatment, to rape them during his working hours.
Three women, patients of the said hospital, would be the victims of this unscrupulous employee. A complaint from the administration of the psychiatric establishment has brought this "monstrous scandal" to light. This allowed the opening of an investigation led by the regional directorate of the national security of Fez, to identify the culprit who was arrested last Monday and placed in custody.
According to the daily Al Massae, the serial rapist was caught "in the act, in at least one of his crimes". On one of the videos recorded by the surveillance cameras placed inside the hospital, "the police were able to clearly identify the accused, in the act of sexual assault on a woman".
It is these video recordings that allowed a member of the staff "to alert the administration, which filed a complaint and triggered the ongoing investigation, supervised by the city’s public prosecutor’s office," the same source said.
