Manchester United’s Amrabat Could Return to Fiorentina Due to Contract Clause

Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat, who now plays as a midfielder at Manchester United, his dream club, could return to Fiorentina due to a "special clause inserted in his contract."
Sofyan Amrabat’s contract with Fiorentina will automatically be extended by one year if Manchester United do not exercise their purchase option next summer, reports The Mirror, which specifies that the Italian club had inserted "a special clause in his contract." The Moroccan international’s contract was due to expire in 2025. If the Mancunians do not exercise the purchase option, an automatic one-year extension will allow Viola to obtain a higher price in the event of a transfer. The 27-year-old player joined Manchester United on loan from ACF Fiorentina until June 2024 for a fee of 10 million euros with a purchase option of 21.5 million pounds.
Amrabat has not yet made his first appearances for Manchester United due to an injury. He was injured during the Moroccan national team’s training before the matches against Liberia and Burkina Faso. He immediately joined Carrington to have his injury evaluated. It remains to be seen whether he will be lined up for his club’s match against Brighton, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Old Trafford.
