Major Moroccan Highway Project Nears Completion: Tiznit-Dakhla Expressway 80% Done

The construction work on the expressway connecting Tiznit to Dakhla is progressing rapidly. The photos of the work would be around 80% complete today.
This project, which covers a distance of 1,055 km, has already reached a completion rate of 78%. This is the result of an agreement signed in 2015 between the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Equipment and four regions for a budget of nearly 10 billion dirhams. According to Mbarek Fancha, Director of the Provisional Directorate of Development of the RN1, the work on the Tan Tan-El Ouatia section has been completed and if all goes well, the construction of the road will be fully finalized.
Once completed, this expressway will not only reduce travel time, but will also facilitate the transportation of goods destined for regions such as Souss-Massa, Guelmim-Oued Noun, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab.
