Lens Leads Race for Morocco’s Saiss as Ligue 1 Clubs Vie for Besiktas Defender

The captain of the Atlas Lions, Romain Saiss, is about to make his big return to Ligue 1. The Moroccan international is attracting the interest of several French clubs, including RC Lens, which would be ready to accelerate the process to snatch him from his current club, Besiktas.
According to information revealed by RMC Sport, Lens would not be the only club in the running. Olympique de Marseille and Lille are also showing interest in the player. Negotiations were underway with OM, but the situation has evolved with the arrival of Marcelino at the head of the team. Today, RC Lens seems to be in pole position to attract the Moroccan, who could thus play the Champions League group stages next season.
To recall, Saiss’ contract with Besiktas runs until 2024. The Turkish club seems only willing to part with him for a minimum sum of 4 million euros.
