Chelsea’s Ziyech Weighs Saudi Offers, Eyes Ajax Return Amid Transfer Speculation

While he is being targeted by two Saudi clubs, Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech wishes to return to Ajax Amsterdam, the club where he had shone for four years before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2020.
The Saudi clubs Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab are showing interest in Hakim Ziyech, reports the British press. But the Chelsea attacking midfielder is tempted by a return to Ajax while the Dutch club has other priorities in the transfer market. A return to the Netherlands seems doomed to failure due to the Atlas Lion’s salary demands. In January, the player had already expressed his desire to return to the Ajacids, but the Ajax coach had ruled out this idea on the grounds that his club is well supplied up front and that Hakim is a great player who also has a price. The 30-year-old player had experienced glory within Ajax for four years. He helped the Dutch club win the Eredivisie title and reach the Europa League final.
Arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2020 as part of a 35 million euro contract, Hakim has failed to establish himself at Stamford Bridge. He has scored 14 goals and provided 13 assists in 107 games in all competitions. His club is ready to part with him. He has even excluded him from the pre-season tour in the United States.
