Morocco Captain Romain Saïss Denies Marriage Rumors, Warns Against Privacy Invasion

Romain Saïss was the subject of several rumors during the 2022 World Cup, some of which touched on his private life. In a statement posted on social media, the captain of the Atlas Lions recalled that his private life was "a red line not to be crossed".
Of all the rumors launched about the captain of the Atlas Lions, the one that sparked the most comments was published by the French magazine "Paris Match" on December 14, announcing him in a relationship with Moroccan singer Salma Rachid. The article did not at all please the player. "To put an end to certain rumors that have been circulating for some time and a photo taken during my vacation in Dubai. I am not and have never been married to singer Salma Rachid. So please stop inventing lives for people, mine suits me just fine Hamdoullilah."
Even though two days after this publication, Paris Match apologized in an article entitled "Erratum on the private life of Romain Saïss", the Moroccan player wanted to clarify the situation. "Throughout my career, I have made sure to draw a clear line between my public life as a football player and my private and family life. Yet, in recent days, photos and videos of a purely private nature have ended up on social media without my consent. I cannot accept that such an infringement be made on my private life," launched the Besiktas defender.
Romain Saiss therefore threatens to take legal action. "If this should nevertheless be the case, I will have no choice but to initiate the corresponding procedures against those responsible. Know that I will always be available and at your service in the context of my professional activities, but once off the field, I would like to be able to enjoy my family life peacefully like all of you."
