Marseille Nears Deal for Moroccan Defender Romain Saïss from Besiktas

Central defender Romain Saïss has found a new club. He could join Olympique de Marseille in the coming days, alongside the other Moroccan Azeddine Ounahi.
A Besiktas player, he would have reached an agreement with the Olympians. The information, revealed by journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi on Twitter, was later confirmed by RMC Sport. According to the latter, a contract of at least two years would be on the table, with Besiktas demanding a sum of 4 million euros, an amount that OM would be willing to pay.

However, one element remains uncertain: the validation of the future coach. Indeed, OM prefers not to engage players without the approval of the incoming coach, Marcelo Gallardo seeming to be the closest to the position. Pending his decision, other teams like RC Lens have also shown interest in the Moroccan.
