Kushner to Visit Middle East, Push for Israel-Arab Normalization Deals

Jared Kushner, son-in-law and senior adviser to President Donald Trump, will travel to Morocco, Israel, Bahrain, Oman and Saudi Arabia this week.
This visit follows the agreement to normalize diplomatic relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. This agreement will actually be signed at the White House in September. Mr. Kushner will make this trip accompanied by Avi Berkowitz, the president’s envoy, Robert O’Brien, national security adviser and Brian Hook, in charge of the Iranian file.
Donald Trump’s senior adviser and his delegation should congratulate the leaders of Israel and the United Arab Emirates on the normalization agreement and get updates on the progress of talks between the countries concerned about any agreements they may want to sign.
In his talks with regional leaders, Kushner should encourage more Arab countries "to follow in the footsteps of the United Arab Emirates and move forward with full normalization of relations with Israel," comment officials familiar with the visit.
The American Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo who is in the same dynamic will, for his part, be on tour in Israel, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Sudan.
