King Mohammed VI’s Advice Crucial in Arab-Israeli Normalization, Says Kushner

Jared Kushner, senior adviser and son-in-law of outgoing President Donald Trump, says that the valuable advice and ideas of King Mohammed VI were very helpful in the successful normalization of diplomatic relations between some Arab countries, including Morocco, and Israel.
"Two years ago, I was in Morocco with King Mohammed VI. At the dinner table, I actually had a good discussion with him about the possibility of normalizing relations with Israel. He gave me valuable advice and shared some ideas that contributed to our successes in the region," he says in an interview with the Arabic-language newspaper Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
After this meeting, which took place in May 2019, "we have remained in constant exchange with King Mohammed VI and his team," Kushner affirms. "We are working on resolving various issues," he adds.
To date, four Arab countries (the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco) have normalized their relations with Israel.
