Jared Kushner Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for Middle East Diplomacy

Jared Kushner, son-in-law of former US President Donald Trump, former senior White House adviser, and also the architect of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Morocco and Israel, is among the nominees for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
Jared Kushner and his deputy Avi Berkowitz are in the running for the Nobel Peace Prize. They owe their nominations to the role they played in the negotiations of normalization agreements signed between Israel and four Arab countries: the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.
American lawyer Alan Dershowitz, also a professor emeritus at Harvard University and a supporter of Donald Trump, submitted their names to the Nobel committee when composing the list of candidates, Reuters reports.
In addition to these two former senior US officials, Mr. Dershowitz also submitted the name of the former US ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, and that of the former Israeli ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer.
Jared Kushner said he was "honored" to be nominated for this award. The names of the laureates will be known next October.
