Morocco Among "Likely Candidates" to Normalize Relations with Israel, US Officials Say

Morocco is among the "likely candidates" to open a new page in its relations with the Hebrew state. This is at least what The Washington Post claims.
According to the American media, things have evolved after the announcement by US President Donald Trump of the normalization agreement between Israel and the United Arab Emirates to the point that the US State Department has said that the Sultanate of Oman, Bahrain and Morocco are on the list of "likely candidates" willing to open a new page in their relations with the Hebrew state.
In a column titled: "Trump is right. The Israel-Emirates deal is a big success," David Ignatius talks about a telephone conversation that the president’s adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, had with a group of journalists. During this interview, he stated that "the agreement between the Emirates and Israel was an ’icebreaker’ that he hoped would be followed by similar measures by other Arab countries."
However, Mr. Kushner "did not specify which other Arab countries [would open a new page in their relations with the Hebrew state]. But State Department officials have said that the likely candidates include Oman, Bahrain and Morocco."
