Global Port Leaders Convene at Tanger Med for Strategic Summit
The leaders of the world’s largest ports have been in Tanger Med since Wednesday for a two-day working meeting to consolidate relations between the largest port hubs.
As members of ChainPort, the port hub managers currently present in Tanger Med come from Hamburg, Rotterdam, Antwerp, Gothenburg, Singapore, Montreal and Barcelona. Several themes will be discussed during this meeting. These are the meeting sessions on digitalization, innovation and decarbonization, as well as a visit to the port complex and the Tanger Med industrial platform to allow the delegation that came to Morocco to closely observe the recent developments and the performance that make this port complex the largest port in the Mediterranean and in Africa.
ChainPort includes the 12 most important ports in the world. Their objective is to share experiences and innovations on strategic issues, in order to stimulate development at the level of each port infrastructure member of the group. The aim is also to build safe, efficient and sustainable supply chains together.
