Targeted by an Interpol red notice, a 35-year-old man was arrested Thursday in Marrakech. French authorities were actively searching for him for international trafficking in fake identity documents.

The arrest was carried out on April 30 by officers from the Moroccan police prefecture. Law enforcement apprehended this French national of Algerian origin, who was staying illegally in the country. This operation resulted directly from an international arrest warrant issued by French authorities. The individual is targeted for his "alleged involvement in the forgery of passports and their circulation on an international scale."
