A Frenchman arrested at Marrakech airport, what he is accused of

The arrest was carried out by the border police at the moment when the individual was in possession and making use of a forged passport. In addition to the suspicions of forgery and use of forgery, subsequent technical investigations on his mobile phone have revealed elements suggesting his involvement in activities related to international drug trafficking and psychotropic substances.

The checks carried out via the Interpol database revealed that the person concerned was the subject of an international arrest warrant materialized by a red notice issued at the request of the National Central Bureau of Paris. This measure aims to execute a judicial conviction pronounced against him for acts of kidnapping and sequestration with violence committed in the context of settling scores between criminal networks.

The suspect was placed in custody as part of the judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to determine all the circumstances of this case. At the same time, the Interpol National Central Bureau in Rabat, under the General Directorate of National Security, was tasked with notifying the French authorities of this arrest with a view to transmitting the file relating to the extradition procedure.
