A Dutchman wanted for murder in France arrested by Moroccan police

End of the run for a dangerous fugitive. The Moroccan police intercepted, at the port of Tangier, a 26-year-old Dutch national. The man was the subject of an Interpol red notice issued by France for very serious acts involving drug trafficking and homicide.

The vigilance of the National Security services has paid off. During a routine check at the port, the agents identified the suspect thanks to the database of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). The verdict of the file is clear: the individual was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by the National Central Bureau of Paris. The charges against him are heavy, the French authorities are looking for him for his alleged involvement in a case of drug and psychotropic drug trafficking, against a backdrop of murder.

Immediately placed in detention, the 26-year-old man was made available to the Moroccan justice system pending the launch of the extradition procedure. The Interpol office in Rabat has already notified its French counterparts of this arrest.
