French Leaders Express Condolences as Nation Mourns 5-Year-Old Rayan’s Tragic Death

The president of the Rassemblement national (RN), Marine Le Pen, expressed her solidarity with the family of Rayan, the 5-year-old boy who died on Saturday after being trapped for five days in a 32-meter deep well.
"This tragedy touches us all. We accompany the family of little Rayan with our thoughts and prayers," Marine Le Pen posted on her Twitter account.
President Emmanuel Macron, as well as several French and other personalities, have already expressed their compassion to the boy’s family.
Rayan, the 5-year-old boy, accidentally fell on Tuesday last week into a dry and narrow 32-meter deep well, near his family’s residence in Ighrane (Chefchaouen). After a complicated rescue that lasted five days, he was extracted from the well on Saturday, but did not survive.
