Fez Tourism Surges: Hotel Stays Up 68% as Visitors Flock to Moroccan City
Over the first nine months of the year, hotel nights in Fez have increased by 68% compared to the same period last year, according to figures provided by the National Tourism Observatory (ONT).
More specifically, overnight stays reached 478,326 by the end of September, compared to 285,176 during the same period in 2021, the report states.
The hotel establishments in Fez welcomed 238,703 travelers, compared to 106,279 during the same period last year, a strong increase of 125%. The average length of stay during this period was two days, compared to three days in 2021, it is also specified.
This growth is attributable to the increase recorded by the main source markets, including France, the USA, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom and Arab countries, it is further indicated.
