Emirates Flight Diverts to Marrakech Due to Royal Aircraft in Casablanca Airspace

An unusual incident occurred last Tuesday in Moroccan airspace. A commercial flight of Emirates Airlines, flying from Dubai to Casablanca, had to modify its trajectory and land at Marrakech Menara airport instead of its initial destination.
According to the Moroccan Aviation page, specialized in aeronautical information in Morocco, the regular flight EK751 from Dubai was forced to divert to Marrakech due to the presence of a royal aircraft in the airspace of Casablanca. Details on the identity of the royal aircraft and the exact reasons for this change of trajectory have not been communicated.
The Emirates plane eventually landed safely in Marrakech, before resuming its journey to Casablanca where it landed around 5:15 p.m., while it was supposed to arrive around 1 p.m.
