Citroën's Electric 'My Ami Buggy' Sells Out in Hours Across Europe

The success does not wane for the small Citroën "Ami" car. Manufactured in Morocco, the electric car without a license has once again been a success in many European countries.

"My Ami Buggy", the new version of the electric quadricycle, has generated incredible enthusiasm, managing to sell 800 units in just a few hours.

Launched online in eight European countries including France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and Greece, on June 20, 2023, the sale of "My Ami Buggy" was a real success. Belgium and France were particularly quick to respond, exhausting their stocks in less than 9 minutes and in one hour respectively. In total, the online sale recorded no less than 20,000 connections.

The automaker plans to market an additional 200 units in stores over the summer in Turkey, Morocco and the French overseas departments and territories. The quadricycle, sold for €10,490, stands out with a unique design including a removable roof, a khaki color and golden rims, as well as various accessories such as transparent door canvases, a removable bag and a Bluetooth portable speaker.

This is not the first time that Citroën has had such success with the Buggy model. In 2022, the first version of the vehicle sold out very quickly, exhausting the 50 available units in France in less than 20 minutes.
