Citroën AMI: Morocco-Made Electric Microcar Surges in European Markets

The success of the Citroën AMI, an electric car without a license manufactured in the PSA Group’s plant in Kenitra, Morocco, knows no limits.
Launched in April 2020, the Citroën AMI is in high demand in Europe, Turkey and Morocco. Individual customers, freelancers, large industrial or service groups have shown an attraction to this electric car. In total, more than 23,000 units have been sold, including more than 22,400 in Europe, according to Motors Actu. In detail, more than 13,300 orders, of which 83% are from individual customers and 17% from professional customers, have been recorded in France, more than 6,700 in Italy, 780 in Spain, 724 in Belgium and 476 in Portugal. In the United Kingdom, 2,000 pre-orders have already been recorded. In Turkey and Morocco, 641 orders have been placed on the online sales site.

Now available in 11 countries, in Europe and Africa-Middle East, Citroën Ami could create other surprises.
