Chelsea’s Late Bid for World Cup Star Amrabat Rejected by Fiorentina

Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat was among the players Chelsea had considered recruiting during the final stretch of the winter transfer window. But the English club missed out on the Fiorentina midfielder, one of the architects of the Atlas Lions’ historic World Cup run.
Chelsea was also among the clubs that wanted to secure the services of Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat (26, 18 Serie A games this season). After signing Enzo Fernandez for 121 million euros, the English club had positioned itself on the Moroccan international, reveals Daily Mail. But the Blues faced a firm refusal from Viola.
FC Barcelona also suffered the same setback. It offered the Italian club a paid loan of 3 million euros with a fixed purchase option of 37 million, in order to recruit Sofyan before the end of the winter transfer window. This proposal will be rejected by the Viola’s management.
The next summer transfer window is nevertheless expected to be decisive for the Moroccan international. He would have even reached an agreement to join Barça.
