Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech Too Costly for Ajax Return, Club Says

The return of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech to Ajax Amsterdam seems increasingly unlikely. The club has made it known that he is not a priority, also mentioning the transfer fee demanded by the Blues, which it finds too high.
After a good World Cup in Qatar, the Moroccan midfielder, lacking playing time at Chelsea, would like to take advantage of the transfer window to relaunch himself in another club. Several major European clubs have expressed interest in securing his services, but are running up against the thorny issue of the player’s salary.
In this context, some media have announced a return of the Moroccan to Ajax, the club where his talent had exploded between 2018 and 2019. Reacting to these rumors, the Dutch club has made it known that this return is not in its plans.
The response comes from the current coach of the club who declared on this subject: "I don’t think so. We have what we need up front. Everyone knows that Hakim is a great player, but he also has a price. I don’t think that’s our priority right now."
