Ajax Coach Rules Out Ziyech Return, Cites Strong Attacking Options

Ajax Amsterdam coach Alfred Schreuder has ruled out the idea of a return of Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech to the Ajacids this January.
"No, I don’t think so. I think we are well stocked up front," Alfred Schreuder replies to Metro when asked about a possible return of the former Ajax star. "Everyone knows that Hakim is a great player, but he also has a price. I don’t think that’s our priority right now," he added.
The Moroccan international had experienced glory within Ajax for four years. He helped the Dutch club win the Eredivisie title and reach the Europa League final. Arriving at Chelsea in the summer of 2020 as part of a €35 million contract, the 29-year-old player has failed to establish himself at Stamford Bridge.
Hakim is ready to leave his club. For their part, the club’s management want to let him go. Even his good performances during the World Cup in Qatar did not change their minds. Expressing their interest in Argentine international Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea are offering Benfica £87 million, Ziyech for a permanent contract and Ivorian and Brazilian internationals David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos on loan.
