At 15 and nearing 700 goals, Moroccan prodigy trains with AC Milan’s first team

Born on 16 March 2011 in Brescia, Akram Jadid was invited by coach Ruben Amorim to train with Milan’s first team. This first session at Milanello does not yet mean a permanent promotion to the professional squad, but it allows the Portuguese coach to observe him alongside players competing at the highest level.

The young Moroccan began playing at Voluntas Montichiari before joining the Milan academy in 2022. Since then, he has regularly played with older players and is expected to continue his development with the U18s or the Primavera team.

His reputation is also based on a spectacular figure: nearly 700 goals scored since his debut. This total, reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, is kept by his sister Yasmine in a file named “Gol Akram.” It includes goals scored in youth matches and tournaments and therefore does not correspond solely to AC Milan’s official competitions.

His progress nevertheless remains impressive in the federated leagues. During the 2024-2025 season, Akram Jadid scored 32 goals in 32 matches, finishing as the second-highest scorer in his category in Italy. He then continued to score with the U16s, while regularly playing in older age groups.

A national title before the call-up to the first team

On 21 June, he took part in Milan’s triumph in the Italian U15 championship. In the final against Empoli, Akram Jadid scored his team’s second goal after beating a defender on the left flank. The Rossoneri won 2-0.

The striker had been temporarily sent back to the U15s to play in the final phase, after spending much of the season in older age groups. He now trains between the U18s and the Primavera, while awaiting a permanent assignment.

His arrival at professional training inevitably recalls the career of Hachim Mastour, another Moroccan prodigy launched at a very young age by AC Milan. However, the club is proceeding gradually with Akram Jadid, whose presence at Milanello is above all intended to allow him to discover the demands of the first team.

His international future is also being closely monitored. Akram Jadid, who holds Moroccan and Italian citizenship, already has two appearances for Morocco U16. These matches do not yet make his choice definitive. The Italian Football Federation is also reportedly interested in his profile, while the FRMF has been scouting young players of Moroccan origin trained in Italy for several years.
