Rising Moroccan Star Thiago Pitarch Impresses Real Madrid’s Xabi Alonso in First-Team Training

Thiago Pitarch, 18 years old, is one of the great promises of "La Fábrica", the Real Madrid academy. The young player of Moroccan origin has caught the eye of Xabi Alonso, who invited him to train with the first team.
Thiago Pitarch trained on Monday, August 4th, with the Real Madrid first team, at the request of coach Xabi Alonso, who also invited other academy players such as Manuel Ángel, Diego Aguado and Daniel Yáñez to this session.
Born in Fuenlabrada in 2007, Thiago has dual Spanish and Moroccan nationality, as his grandmother is originally from Al Hoceima in Morocco. The midfielder joined the Real Madrid youth academy in 2023/2024 after making his debut at Atlético, between 2013 and 2018, and playing at Getafe and Leganés, recalls El Debate.
The 18-year-old player is closely followed by the club’s technical staff and his progress in recent years has prompted Xabi Alonso to invite him to train with the first team. The Spanish coach believes that Thiago has the potential and talent to join the first team in the medium or long term.
For now, the Moroccan gem will continue to perform at the Castilla academy, under the orders of Álvaro Arbeloa. Depending on the evolution of the 25-26 season, Thiago could realize his dream of making his debut with the first team at the Santiago Bernabéu in front of the Madrid supporters.
