Newcastle United Pursues Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech Amid Transfer Speculation
Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is still in the sights of the English club Newcastle United, who are just waiting for the "yes" from Chelsea to recruit him.
Although Chelsea has clearly indicated that it does not intend to let its attacking midfielder leave for its big rival, Hakim Ziyech is not a closed chapter at Newcastle United. The English club is still keen to recruit the Atlas Lion, who is ready to leave Stamford Bridge. For their part, the leaders of the Blues are also ready to let the 29-year-old player go, who is struggling to establish himself.
Hakim arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2020 from Ajax Amsterdam as part of a 40 million euro contract. So far, he has failed to shine at Stamford Bridge. Not leaving his club this winter could be detrimental to him. The former Ajax star risks falling even lower in the hierarchy at his club due to the busy transfer window this January.
