Chelsea’s Ziyech Eyes Roma Move, Hinges on Zaniolo Departure

Still on the starting line, the attacking midfielder of Chelsea Hakim Ziyech is looking for a way out before the end of the winter transfer window. The Atlas Lion has set his sights on AS Roma, but a condition applies.
Hakim Ziyech has "confirmed" his desire to join the AS Roma squad in January, but this transfer will only be possible if the Romans finalize the departure of Nicolo Zaniolo, reports Calciomercato. The transfer of the Moroccan international to Italy will therefore depend on the "sale" of the Italian player. For its part, Chelsea is demanding 22 million pounds sterling to let its attacking midfielder leave.
Arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2020 from Ajax Amsterdam as part of a 40 million euro contract, Ziyech has not been able to shine at Stamford Bridge. As a result, the Blues’ leaders are ready to part with him. The 29-year-old player is also eager to leave his club. He fears falling even lower in the pecking order due to Chelsea’s busy transfer window this January.
