Ruud Gullit Urges Chelsea’s Ziyech to Consider Barcelona Move Amid Struggles

After a stunning World Cup and a decisive performance with his club, Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech is still struggling to gain unanimous support from the Blues. Former Dutch striker Ruud Gullit encourages him to seek a club that knows how to better value him.
Ruud Gullit is not the first to advise Ziyech to find another club. Before him, others had called on the Atlas Lion to try his luck in a club that knows how to recognize his skills. His adventure with the Blues has had difficult moments, especially with the arrival of former coach Thomas Tuchel.
For Ruud Gullit, Hakim Ziyech has no place at Chelsea and is not responsible for the poor treatment he is suffering there. He sees him doing very well at a club like FC Barcelona after shining at the World Cup. For him, he has the talent to establish himself in a more playful and technical team than Chelsea. "I think he would succeed in Spain. I feel that in England, he has never reached the level he had at Ajax. I would like to see him in Spain. He can reach the top. He would also integrate very well into the Barcelona team."
He confides that the player feels more fulfilled when he plays outside of Chelsea. "The way Ziyech plays for Morocco, I’ve never seen him play for Chelsea. And it’s not just his fault. I think Chelsea has sometimes put him in positions that don’t suit him. He just has to play on the right wing," stressed the former Ballon d’Or.
