Casablanca Lawyer Flees Country After Alleged $50,000 Rolex Theft

A lawyer from the Casablanca bar is suspected of having stolen a luxury watch worth an estimated more than 500,000 dirhams, before fleeing abroad.
According to concordant sources, the man would have taken advantage of his presence in a sports and tourist complex on the Ain Diab corniche in Casablanca to steal the watch, a Rolex, left in the sports bag of its owner, a wealthy businessman in the city.
The lawyer would then have resold the watch to a specialized jeweler for the sum of 160,000 dirhams. The case was brought to light thanks to the arrest of two individuals in possession of the watch.
An arrest warrant has been issued by the prosecution against the lawyer, who is actively being sought.
