Casablanca to Build 33 Modern Public Restrooms in Major Urban Upgrade

In its new development plan, the city of Casablanca will be equipped with 33 public toilets. The construction company has been selected, and the work should start in the very near future.

These modern sanitary facilities will meet international standards and will be operational by early 2022, reports Assabah, adding that this project of the local development company "Casa Environnement" comes to complete the one developed by the city hall which consisted of rehabilitating and building 128 units in all the districts of the city.

At a total cost of 16 million dirhams, these sanitary facilities will be set up on the Ain Diab corniche, the Hassan II maritime promenade, the Arab League Park, Mohammed V Square, the Velodrome urban park and the El Fida neighborhood.

But apart from the El Fida neighborhood, the SDL has excluded other popular neighborhoods from this project, content to serve the city center which includes the districts of Anfa, Sidi Belyout and Maarif.

It should be noted that the call for tenders for the maintenance of these toilets was launched at the end of September, knowing that it is the SDL that will be in charge of their management.
