Casablanca Modernizes Public Restrooms: New Tender Launched for Citywide Upgrades

The SDL Casa Baia has decided to relaunch the call for tenders for the maintenance and upkeep of the public toilets located within the urban commune of Casablanca. The bids will be opened on January 12th.
The company will entrust the management of public toilets to the private sector, announces L’Économiste, specifying that in its new modernization plan, the city has opted for modern and more aesthetic constructions.
The new constructions will be distributed across several sites, namely: the Corniche, the promenade of the Hassan II Mosque, the Arab League Park, Mohammed V Square, the Velodrome Urban Park, and the El Fida district. Other public toilets may subsequently be integrated into this market.
The project, worth around 16 million DH, takes into account 128 units located in the 16 districts of the city. Each district will be entitled to 8 units, each of which will have 2 toilets for women and two for men, and one for people with reduced mobility.
To recall, the SDL was chosen to oversee the development work on the public toilets, the management, cleaning, disinfection, guarding, and recruitment of agents... Casa Baia will be remunerated by a percentage (10%) retained on the advertising revenue from the public toilets currently in the project phase.
